if you're having trouble here's how you beat it (as long as you have enough skills)
never buy any defense until once you have the zap gun or railgun
skip buying the shotgun, the machinegun will help you stay clean and earn more money for weapons
skip buying the bazooka, the 1 shot reload will get you killed, the sniper rifle allows to waste less ammo and have less reload time
after this make your way to buying the zap gun
use that until you have enough money for the railgun and some extra ammo for it
from there just make sure you have plenty of ammo and increase your defense
